According to the research, Retail 4.0 will result in a meaningful advance in the size of the internal market, job production, and commodities. The changing market and equipment operators are anticipated to hasten the increased momentum, with the India retail market reaching up-to $1.5 trillion by FY2030.

Digitally Reconstructed Nation

“As India leaps forward to become a digitally reconstructed nation, the country’s retail area has developed as one of the most dynamically-evolving, quickly digitizing areas, with the second-largest buyer foundation in the business, from 5th highest in 2020,” found the room.

Large Growth of 3X, Accounting

Over the last decade, as per the research, the Indian retail shop size has observed a large increase of 3X, accounting for $800 billion, contributing 10% to India’s GDP In FY 2019-20 and 8% to the total workforce with more than 35 million workers.

“The increase has been supported by continued digital conversion. The COVID -19 pandemic has shown to be an incentive in the growth of Retail from the 3.0 Era into a more digitally-enabled and collaborative Retail 4.0 era,” the study remarked.

Talking at the ship of the report, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog said, the union government was in the method of forming the National Retail Trade Policy which not only would create a favorable climate for retail trade but would also explain procedures hindering the majority of the area in the nation.
