Lead Operator – Central Operating District
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the operations team to ensure a safe working environment for staff and contract
- personnel
- Provide guidance, support and training to operations staff
- Collaborate daily with Calgary engineers – striving to continually improve the business
- Ensure regulatory compliance is being met or exceeded within the operating area
- Optimize facilities and wells to maximize production volumes while minimize operating costs
- Coordinate turnarounds and planned maintenance activities
- Steward operating costs and production forecasts to budgets
- Daily production volume reporting

Preferred Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Strong working knowledge of heavy oil facilities, E&I and process controls
- Strong working knowledge of Rod, PCP and ESP pumps
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Experienced in troubleshooting oil and gas production facilities and wells
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Safety and Regulatory Coordinator
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Oil and Gas operations
- Strong understanding of Safety Codes and industry practices along with procedure
- Ability to manage Emergency Response and safety training for the operations teams as
- Knowledgeable of AER Directives and compliance requirements.
- Able to perform site inspections and work with our operations team on correcting
- Excellent communicator with industry regulators as well as our operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safe, efficient operations in well servicing, abandonments and completions in assigned areas
- Coordinate timing and deployment of service rigs, wellsite supervisors, and other related equipment
- Well servicing programming
- AFE creation and cost tracking
- Maintain timely and effective communication with operations staff in both the field and in Calgary
- Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and ensure operations are compliant at all times
Essential Experience & Skills
- 7+ years oil and gas industry experience in well-servicing and operations
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Wellview, and Accumap
- Attention to detail, excellent organization and analytical skills
- Professional team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain partnerships
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a deadline driven environment
Education
- Relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset, but is not necessary
