Given the continued investments by semiconductor plants, the semiconductor need should end in a year, the CEO said. “I hope that by the end of next year we’ll see a fairly normal state of affairs.”
Gypsey said the demand for electric vehicles is very high. “Our i4 is marketed for months, as is the iX.” The i4 is an electric packed executive car & the iX is an electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV. Next year, BMW is planning to introduce an electric version of its luxury sedan 7 Series. “It won’t be any different there,”.
The carmaker aims to be fully electric at least 50% of global sales by 2030 but has warned that a lack of charging infrastructure was a major deterrent to the increasing consumption of electric vehicles.
